In honor of National Farmers' Market week, on AUGUST 8th, 2020 at the North Canton Farmers' Market, artist Jordan Taylor Serpentini unveiled the Mural of Gratitude!
A farmers' market inspired piece of art, made possible with the assistance of local volunteer artists, the generosity of Sherwin-Williams North Canton and the partnership of the North Canton Public Library & The Commercial & Savings Bank.
LOCATION: 1447 North Main St. ~ North Canton (Former Kmart property, near Applegrove).
Jordan designed the mural to empower positive change in the world. The concept is about thankfulness to Mother Earth, reminding us to respect where our food comes from. She would like to express how incredibly special this experience has been for her. Looking at the finished project, she is in awe that she was able to bring the creative side out of so many wonderful and talented volunteers, whether they just pick up a paint brush once a year or do it everyday for a living! Together we have created something magical, and exactly what she had hoped it to be.
Jordan would like to give a special thanks to Amy Pepperney, Georgia Wilburn & Tanya Gonzales for being her rocks that she could always depend on to be there each day! She also would like to thank the entire Wilburn & Whitt families, as well as Lillian Mullens for helping her bring this mural to life so quickly! She feels blessed beyond words to bring some light in very trying times for us all.
